"Squaring the circle", metaphorically speaking, seeks to combine contradictions. In 1882 the ancient geometric problem of squaring the circle was declared unsolvable, as the Lindemann-Weierstrass theorem proved that Pi is a transcendental, rather than an algebraic number. The impossibility to actually square the circle is a consequence of the subjectivity defined by the point in time and its cloud of knowledge and perceptions. Following the thread of juxtaposing, in this exhibition, the conceptual and the narrative are questioned as incompatible opposites.
